Zesty, energetic, and full of life, orange paint brings vibrancy into any interior, adding a unique personality and perfectly partnering with a wide selection of colors. Whether you add a neutral tone or pair orange with earthy colors like brown or green, it brings harmony and balance into a living room or bedroom and a warm welcome to a hallway or entrance. Add orange to accent a signature wallpaper or wall mural, completed with cream or white trim for a polished, professional look. Introduce browns to soften the exuberance of orange, giving it a more serene effect. Alternatively, orange and brown can combine with bold geometric wallpaper to instil an authentic mid-century vibe that’s pure, unashamed 1970s glamour.
Orange works well with its opposite on the color wheel; teal falls into that category, complementing orange in a fascinating and dynamic way. Add in a dash of gold metallic and you have a showstopping look for a living room or bedroom, with just the right amount of serenity from the teal tones balanced with the lively nature of orange. Orange can also introduce a motivated ambience in a home office or studio, and add pops of glossy color on kitchen drawers and cabinet doors, paired with on-trend gray.
Are your paints water or oil based?
Each of our paints are water-based, which means they are all low odour and have a lower VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) level than any oil-based paints. It also means they are extremely quick drying, meaning you can get more out of your project in less time. Volatile Organic Compounds contribute to atmospheric pollution when they evaporate (when the paint dries), and they can be found in chemicals used across many industries such as soaps, building materials, and cleaning products.
What’s the difference between your everyday emulsion and resistance ultra durable matt emulsion?
Our Everyday Emulsion has a slight sheen. Our Resistance Ultra Flatt Matte Durable Emulsion has a 1% sheen level with Class:1 Scrubbable classification. But what does this actually mean? Our Resistance Ultra Durable Matte Emulsion is so tough that it will keep its luxurious flat matte finish even after cleaning. That’s right—no lifting paint, leaving white marks, or burnishing when you clean it. It is brilliant for high traffic areas such as hallways and living rooms because of its durability and resistance to bumps and knocks. Our Everyday Emulsion is more suited to lower traffic areas such as spare bedrooms or studies and is perfect for use on any ceilings. Please note: whilst our paints are dry to the touch within a matter of hours, water-based paints take approximately 28 days to fully cure. This is when the paint is 100% dry and has reached its full hardness/durability. Until the paint has fully cured, it will not withstand knocks or wiping/cleaning.
