Paste-the-wall or paste-the-paper?
There’s more than one way to wallpaper your home! Make sure to double check if the paper you’ve purchased is of the paste-the-wall or paste-the-paper variety. Whereas traditional wallpaper needs time to soak, paste-the-wall varieties simply hang straight up once you’ve coated the walls with adhesive.

How to hang wallpaper
As you can see, smoothing your wallpaper down the wall is a big part of the hanging process. However, any bubbles can be easily removed with a brush down or pin prick. A swift movement will ensure you have minimal air pockets underneath, so follow the video and see just how easy it is!
How to hang patterned wallpaper
This stage couldn’t be simpler but so many people limit themselves to safe patterns because they doubt their own decorating skills. Liberate yourself by learning how to line up patterned wallpaper!
Free match wallpaper is generally the easiest to hang, because no matter how the strips of wallpaper are hung next to each other, the pattern glides seamlessly. Instead of continuing across seams, the motifs stop just short of the end of the wallpaper, meaning no visible joins.
An offset match wallpaper is a style that has a pattern on the right-hand edge of the first strip, which only matches with the left-hand edge of the next strip, when the second strip of wallpaper is dropped by a specified distance.
Finally a straight match is where the left and right edges of the wallpaper match in a straight horizontal line with the left and right edge of the next strip.
Cleaning wallpaper seams
Using a damp sponge, you can remove any adhesive from the edges of your wallpaper for a flawless finish!
