The Wallpaper of the Year
e’re so proud to announce our Wallpaper of the Year for 2018 – Pierre. A beautifully hand painted blush Magnolia floral is perfectly complimented with a white gold metallic backdrop. Looking to next year’s trends, Magnolia flowers are set to take the lead with floral; with fashion catwalks seeing more wallpaper style florals being placed on to key clothing pieces.
In the year of 1703, French Botanist Charles Plumier, named a flowering tree from the island of Martinique, Magnolia, in honour of renowned botanist Pierre Magnol. This typically femme-floral design boasts a hidden strength, with magnolias symbolising purity and dignity. Marrying muted pink pastel florals with assertive white gold metallic, creating a strong and sensitive design.
Developed from the magnolia within Pierre, 2018 Colour of the Year, Penelope, is an uncomplicated and dainty tone which pairs perfectly with this design.
