Our natural curtains help create a warm, relaxing and inviting feel in any room. You can pair them perfectly with bold colours and vibrant, patterned feature walls, or complementing pastel and neutral shades. We think neutral curtains work beautifully in comfortable spaces like bedrooms, as well as any room where you want to create a calm atmosphere, such as the bathroom.
From minimalist modern interiors to wonderfully evocative heritage homes, natural curtains have a place in any room. Soft, compliant, and perfectly partnered with various colours, they instantly give any room a homely, welcoming feeling. Keep things light by introducing neutral paints, including beige and whites, as well as subtle greys, into your colour palette. Your natural curtains will also allow stronger colours to pop without clashing or competing with them. Warming colours and earthy tones such as brown paint or sage green add that charmingly rustic ambience to a living room.
In a kitchen, they can add that simple yet elegant touch without darkening or reducing the charm of your key décor elements. In a bathroom, they introduce a beautifully organic element, even if your décor is distinctly on-trend or modernist. If you enjoy mixing things up a little, they can coordinate beautifully with bolder, more exuberant colours such as black paint or rich navy blue. Wonderfully flexible and adaptable, natural curtains in a variety of styles introduce a sublimely elegant and sophisticated note into your home.
Frequently Asked Questions
What lining do I need for my curtains?
We offer various lining options for our made to measure curtains. Each has its own practical properties while also enhancing the overall look and feel.
Our standard lining is the most affordable option and is used solely to enhance and give your main fabric a backing, helping to protect the fabric from direct sunlight by filtering out the light in the room whilst also creating a nice drape. This light filtering option is lightweight and produces a soft natural glow in daylight hours. Available in ivory.
Our satin finish lining is medium weight that gently filters out light whilst creating an improved drape and finish. Satin lining is available in ivory and white.
Our blackout/thermal lining is a specialised heavyweight lining option and our top pick to eliminate light from the room when drawn. It also helps protect the main fabric from direct sunlight to avoid fading. Our blackout/thermal lining helps keep the room cool in summer by reducing the amount of light dispersing into the room, and during those colder months, it helps retain heat, making this a fantastic choice for bedrooms. Other benefits include reducing energy consumption and noise pollution. This option is ideal for windows and doors with a draft and gives a beautiful drape and finish. Our blackout/thermal lining is available in two colours, ivory and white.
Interlined curtains contain an extra layer of lining that is placed between your main curtain fabric and the backing/lining. The interlining provides greater thermal efficiency and gives your curtains more body. This is a great option if you want your curtains to have a fuller look, creating a more opulent and luxurious feel.
What kind of fabric is used to make your curtains?
Our curtains are made using different fabric types, this includes cotton, linen, chenille, velvet and satin. For more information on the specific fabric and composition used, you can refer to the product details page.
Will there be joins in my Curtains?
Larger curtains will require a join in the fabric. Curtains over 1260mm wide will have a single seam in the fabric. If your fabric contains a pattern, the panels will be pattern matched across the seams.
Are blackout and thermal curtains the same product?
Yes, they are the same product. As well as filtering out sunlight, in the summer months, they can add privacy and warmth to any room with there thermal qualities in the winter. Take a look at our blog exploring both blackout and thermal qualities of these curtains.
