Only use a metal measuring tape and record your measurements in cm.<br /><br />2. Measurements must be accurate for a perfect fit. We will make the necessary allowances to ensure the blind fits the window/door. For Recess measurements, we will automatically remove 1cm from the overall width so the blind fits comfortably.<br /><br />3. Decide on how you want the blind fitted – ‘Recess’ is within the window/door frame or ‘Exact’ is to your desired point on the wall outside of the window/door frame.<br /><br />4. Always measure the width first (across the window) and then the drop (top to bottom) in 3 places.<br /><br />5. Record your measurements in the same order.<br /><br />6. Look for any obstructions such as handles and ensure you leave enough room in front and there is enough space for the blind to fit into the recess.<br /><br />7. Perhaps William Morris's most recognisable design, Strawberry Thief was inspired by the thrushes that crept under Morris's strawberry nets in his garden at Kelmscott Manor, Oxfordshire. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colours, and 'Strawberry Thief' was consequently one of Morris's firm's most expensive cottons. Whilst waiting to see the first piece printed, Morris endured sleepless nights in his lodgings at Merton Abbey. Designed in 1883, Strawberry Thief remains one of William Morris's most popular and iconic designs.
