The Flock Collection from Barbara Hulanicki

Graham & Brown is delighted to be working again with Biba founder and fashion icon, Barbara Hulanicki to create its first ever flock wallcoverings collection. The range features five new and exclusive designs – Antoinette, Shoes, Skulls, Baroque and Ophelia – all synonymous with Hulanicki’s dramatic signature style.

The collection marks the second wallpaper collaboration with Graham & Brown and Hulanicki; it features 12 striking colorways across the five designs. The ultra fashionable color palette - including Hollywood cerise, burnt orange, purple grape and petrol tones - mixed with opulent metallics, echoes Hulanicki’s high fashion heritage. The designs include fashion and illustration-inspired twists alongside bold graphic patterns in vibrant and contrasting colors and textures.

“I jumped at the opportunity to work with Graham & Brown on another wallpaper collection. They are the best and most fun to work with. This time however I wanted to give traditional flock a distinct modern twist. The old Victorian flocked wallpaper has a fond memory for me from Biba days when wallpaper was a very important product in our household department. Influenced by nostalgia and my home in South Florida, I have created a range which encapsulates humor, style and versatility.” Barbara Hulanicki

The collection not only challenges the perceptions of traditional flock wallcoverings, it challenges the price too. Graham & Brown has not added the customary hefty price tag to the Flock Collection; at £60/€75/$125 a roll, it is an affordable, unique wallpaper range, which gives flock a long overdue, contemporary interpretation.
