The Heirloom Collection

Hattie Broom

Originally from a fashion background, I am now the Kids' Decor Marketing Assistant at Graham & Brown. I spend my spare time shopping, trawling style blogs for inspiration, or posting my favourite things onto Tumblr and Instagram

Traditionally renowned as a leading wallpaper company, Graham & Brown also develop exciting kids’ decor collections inspired by global children’s trends.

This week we’d like to share a ‘behind the scenes’ to one of our very own exclusive Graham & Brown branded collections; Heirloom.

Heirloom was created by one of our talented Graham & Brown designers Phil Grindley, whos research took him down the route of a traditional favourite theme of fairy princesses mixed with the huge trend surrounding cupcakes and tea parties.

For you mummies who want your little girls palace to be something secretly you would have, given half the chance, the colour palette is about sophisticated vintage pastels resulting in an ‘on-trend’, calming collection fit for a princess.

Let’s talk about the individual decor pieces that create this beautiful room.

You have two choices for the backdrop of the room; the Heirloom wallpaper which would look beautiful on a feature wall, complimented by the Butterflies wallpaper on the remaining 3 walls.

Now have some fun making the room as creative as your imagination will take you. Phil has designed the sticker packs so that you can create your own fairy princess story on your walls, which can be brought to life with the sparkly, 3 dimensional stickers.

There are 3 different types of wall art, which all help to complete the look, but individually contribute to something different.

The printed canvas features the trend icon with my favourite character, the cheeky cherub.

Personally, I love the layered framed print which brings the 3D trend to wall art in a sophisticated way.

Lastly the Heirloom canvas blocks have a deep profile so you either add dimension by hanging them on the wall or stack them on a shelf.
As finishing touches, we have the easy to apply, self-adhesive border and the beautiful hanging garland light shade featuring all the characters and icons that make up this story.
