Recently every where I turn I’m noticing damask wallpapers
, this style is certainly making a comeback and quite a few of our damask wallpapers have been appearing on your screens: Desire
on Celebrity Big Brother, Vintage Flock
on Dancing on Ice and more recently Jewel
on Coronation Street.
Damasks are a classical design which can easliy be incoporated in to any home by simply choosing the appropriate colour and embellishements used on the wallpaper. Often described as traditional or in some instances regal, damask wallpapers are an ideal choice for the living or dining room.
Below are a selection of Graham & Brown’s damask wallpapers which show the versatility of such a design, from traditional designs to designs with a modern twist in on trend colours.
shown above is one of our more traditional damasks, here shown in a regal red. This is a mid-scale design which features the main element of the damask in tonal colours. From our Superfresco
collection is a great choice for walls with slight imperfections as it has been designed to cover lumps and bumps.
Below is Vintage Flock
from ‘well-known’ interior designer Kelly Hoppen
. This damask wallpaper is simplistic and brings this design style right up to the 21st century using a single colour thought out the design.
has to be one of my personal favourite wallpapers from Graham & Brown and as you can see below the colour of a design can make such a difference. Both colours have a metallic overlay across the whole design which is simply stunning as it catches the light.
If you want to use wallpaper on all four walls and have previously used wallpaper as a feature wall but not sure how to then you may want to consider a one colour design such as the desire in gold.
And finally if you want something completely different then maybe you should consider Pendleton
. This is a striking design incorporates peacocks, filigree texture and hand painted tonal effects.
This is a perfect example of how a traditional design can be brought up to date using a fresh modern colour palette.
So if it’s damask wallpaper
you’re after take a look at the full selection available at Graham & Brown.
