As part of Graham & Brown’s on-going investment in young design talent, the world famous design college, Central St. Martin’s were approached to design wallpaper with an Eco theme.
Six winning wallpaper designs were selected to be made Bittern , Bittern Habitat , and Bittern feather by Jo Angell were based on the dwindling numbers of the Bittern bird due to it’s shrinking marshland habitat. Eclectic Birdcage and Urban birdcage by Asma Hussain reflects how birds have become urbanised. Andrea Sallee’s Fossil asks us to reflect what we may leave behind whilst Jennifer Vargas created her rainforest prints. Amelie Labarthe developed a kids paper for an imaginary journey where we use milk instead of petrol called Eco Highway
The collection was the first to be produced with VOC free inks (volatile organic compounds), and printed on FSC managed paper sources (Forest stewardship council), and then wrapped in compostable packaging.
