'Paste-the-wall'
is industry talk for wallpaper that
has a special backing, which allows
it to be hung dry from the roll, and
thus reduces the installation time
by around a half.
In simple terms
this means that unlike conventional
wallpapers, the backing paper is dimensionally
stable, so doesn't expand when it gets
wet. This means you don't have to
paste the back (although you can if
you prefer), or soak it (like pre-pasted
products) so there is no need to "book"
or soak the wallpaper.
This means you
can save around 5 minutes on every
piece hung. PLUS, there's no need
for a pasting table, or soaking trough
and because you're hanging from the
roll dry, there is less mess, and the
paper is easier to cut and trim.
